Jack Douglas
Although Jack was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, he has made his escape on numerous occasions. While at large he has played his music in such places as New York City; Berlin, Germany; Laredo, Texas; and Kotzebue, Alaska. His voice sounds something like a cross between Johnny Cash and Tom Waits. "That way of singing is accidental," says Jack. "It comes from rehearsing with a band. You're trying to get the drummer to hear you. I'm always surprised when someone says they like my voice. I figure what they really mean is that they can hear me, that the lyric is coming through." Jack is very happy with his current line-up. "No one plays or sings a note that I don't believe in."

Phyllis Brock
Phyllis is the actual singer in the group. Westword has described her "serene croon," and audiences in the U.S. and abroad have experienced her warmth and authenticity. An accomplished songwriter, her skills are beautifully evident on the Bob Tyler-produced CD, "Shadow On The Moon." For the past ten-plus years, she has been performing and recording both as a solo act and with her husband Jack. While her backup vocals and fingerpickin' guitar help anchor the duo, she can also deliver the knock-out with a song like her Patsy Cline inspired, "Broken To Pieces."
